Mama Mia, What A Pizza!

Sure, you've got the greatest pizza in the world.  Hey, I've tried it, and I know.  As far as your pizza parlor business plan?  Well, that could use a little work.

You see, everybody thinks they have the greatest pizza in the world.  And they do.  And therein lies the problem.  The issue for raising financing for your pizza house is not HAVING the best pizza in the world, but SELLING it.

Marketing is a seriously underrated skill in most restaurants, but none more so than pizza.  Your lender will certainly assume that you know how to make pizza.  S/he will NOT assume that you know to market it.  That is where your business plan must shine.  Here is where your true creativity as a restauranteur will come into play.

Start out with the basic stats of who will be living and/or working near your pizza parlor.  That is a given.  The base has to be there.

Then do something extra.  Really set out your marketing plan.  Where will you advertise?  How will you advertise?  What will those ads sound like?  or look like?  Who is the "buyer" (not necessarily the kids) and how will you reach that buyer?  And, most importantly, how can you do it better than any of your competitors?

With that kind of info in your pizza parlor business plan, you've got a winner.  The great pizza is just a bonus.
