Small Business, Big Online Presence

With the rise of online commerce and communication, fewer small businesses are willing to cede turf to their nationwide competitors.

However, business owners planning to beef up their online presence in 2008 should know that the spoils go only to the savvy. So say those who've made the Web work for them.

"Done right, it really allows a very small company to appear very big," says Robert Donnelly, a Hackensack-based educator, author and marketing guru.
