Pack your bags. The 2006 Annual Florida Venture Capital Conference is coming January 31 and February 1. Place: Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa in Ponte vedra Beach.

The Conference will showcase 25 later stage, high growth private companies before an estimated 1,100 attendees, including a record 170 venture capitalists. Other conference highlights include seminars and in-depth panel discussions on various aspects of the venture capital industry.

"Presenters at the last 14 Florida Venture Capital Conferences have been very successful from a funding standpoint, raising more than $800 million to date," says Alan Taetle, 2006 Florida Venture Forum chairperson and general partner with Noro-Moseley Partners. "We are now attracting venture capital firms from across the U.S., Europe and South America who represent billions of dollars to invest in Florida."
