Get your business plans in shape. A group of Milwaukee area women are on the go -- to an angel investment group of their own!
Barbara Boxer, head of the government relations department at Milwaukee law firm Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. is spearheading the effort to test the market. The network's goal is to help create independent wealth for women business owners and for women investors, which gives women economic stability and independence, Boxer said in an interview with The Business Journal of Milwaukee.
Nationally, there are about 150 angel networks, but fewer than a dozen are formed and operated by women. There is actually a second one in Wisconsin -- Phenomenelle, which is based in Madison.
