Let me add a bit more detail to my first post. The excitement in the venture capital world is for major industries, like wireless netwoking, e-commerce, voice over internet and other technology-based industries.
Also, really huge amounts of funding are going into anything having to do with security issues: voice recognition, detonation devices, robotics, and anything that will aid with enhancing our national security.
That doesn't mean that "ordinary" businesses aren't being funded. On the contrary. The business world is in the mood. Even the SBA has billions (that's right: BILLIONS) in its coffers right now.It's not just there for the taking. Great proposals are still needed. But now you've got a chance at having that great proposal actually read!
Of all the things that an emerging business can do, I would most recommend getting a great online business presentation. Few companies do it right. Yours should be the one that does.
